Today I had my 4 month check-up with Dr. Patten. Mommy said, "Knock on wood" I have been very healthy since my last check up. I was excited to see Daddy when he picked me up early this afternoon. Then I got to see Mommy too when she met us at the hospital!

When the nurse called my name, we went into the colorful and fun room and Mommy got me undressed. The nurse said I weighed 16 lbs 6 oz and am 25 inches long. Wow...when I was born, I weighted 8 lbs 1/2 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Boy, how I have grown!!!

I really like Dr. Patten. She is a young doctor who talks to me a lot. She also tickled my tummy and stretched my legs. I also got to show her how proud I am when I 'stand' on my piggy toes. She said I am doing great! I watched her move a light around, smiled and screeched in excitement for her. She liked that! Mommy and Daddy need to keep playing with me on my tummy so I push up more and get ready to roll over. Tummy-time here I come!
Dr. Patten also said I can start eating new foods. Mommy and Daddy are going to start by giving me rice cereal this weekend. I am super excited about that. Watch for photos and video of that with my next post!

After Dr. Patten left, the nurse came back with some nummy stuff to drink (rotovirus vaccine). Then, she gave me 2 pokes in the legs. Ow! It hurt a lot, so I cried for a little while until Mommy got me dressed and snuggled with me. Then, I was all better! Daddy said I was a brave, tough guy!
So, that was today's adventure! Whew! I am exhausted. Off to bed! See you next time!
We take Chloe to Dr Patten too - she has been great. We actually go in tomorrow for our one year check-up.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the cereal. Chloe didn't like the rice cereal too much - which after tasting it myself I don't really blame her (think liquified bread dough), so we ended up switching to the oatmeal cereal, with much better results.
I'm glad to hear everything is going well for your little guy though. It is fun to watch them grow.
