"Supa Dupa" says it all!

Again, we have been soooo busy that it has been difficult to update my blog. You know, as a 2-year old now, I don't have time to stop for much!

Since our last blog, we have had a lot going on.
Here are the highlights:
We had a fun trip to Cedar Rapids to celebrate my cousin Mason's 1st birthday! I played with my other cousin Kinnick and his toys. We also got to jump on his trampoline in the basement while the guys watched football. I had so much fun and wore myself right out...I slept all the way home that night.

Then, we spent a great week in North Dakota for Thanksgiving. We got to spend lots of time with family and eat some yummy food!

Mommy had a big meeting with her doctoral committee just after Thanksgiving. She presented her capstone project which is a pilot of her full dissertation topic. The committee approved it but made her shrink it...mommy was being too ambitious for the capstone. Basically, they said she was going to put in too much work...so they told her to do less. Wow...that means more time to play and read with me!

In mid-December, my daycare asked Santa to make a special visit to our Christmas Party. I really loved seeing Santa last year, but this year...the big guy was kind of scary. Yikes! There are pictures included of that moment that Santa and I were reintroduced.

Meeting Santa for the FIRST TIME - December 2010

Our SECOND Meeting - December 2011

I got to fly on an 'aplane' for the second time at Christmas. The whole Walkinshaw family visited Auntie Jen's family in North Carolina for a week. We thought we would escape the cold and snow for a while, but it turned out there wasn't any of either in ND or Iowa. We had a lot of fun and guess what, despite my uncertainty about the big guy...Santa found me there! I got lots of fun toys, which Mama and Papa dropped off when they drove through Iowa on their way home.

If you hadn't heard, I turned 2 on January 24, 2012! After cancelling my original party due to icy roads, we finally had a 'supa dupa' Zoo animal party with Grandma and Grandpa Kramer, Great Grandma Primmer, Auntie Tanya, Cousins Kinnick and Mason and Mama and Papa! Mama and Papa hung out with me (and mommy and daddy) for a whole week which was 'supa dupa fun' too.

While Mama and Papa were here, I started talking like crazy...it was a 'word explosion' according to Mommy. My newest words include 'supa dupa' as you have already read, seal, walrus, and pretty much mimicking any other words I hear.

After my 2 year check up, here are my latest stats:
Birth - 8 lbs 1/2 oz & 20 1/2 inches long
2 months- 12 lbs & 23 inches long
4 months - 16 lbs 6oz & 25 inches long
6 months - 19 lbs 3 oz. & 27 inches long
9 months - 22 lbs & 28 inches long
12 months - 24 lbs 8 oz & 30.5 inches tall
15 months - 26 lbs 6 oz. & 32 inches tall
18 months - 28 lbs & 34 inches tall*
2-years - 31 lbs & 35 inches tall*
*Still in the 75th percentile for both height and weight.

That is about all for now! Thanks for checking in on me!

Love you!
Aidan Russell, a supa dupa dude
