Whew...Wait until you read about my latest adventure!!

Hi Everyone!

So, guess what I did for the first time in my whole life...

I went for a ride on an airplane! Yes, a huge airplane!

Grandma and Grandpa Kramer, Daddy, Mommy and I went on an airplane for a week of 'fun in the sun' in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Our first flight from Des Moines was at 6am...so we all were up and out of the house by 3:30am. I did pretty good on both flights until I just fought and fought my tiredness (small 5 minute meltdown on the 2nd flight according to Mom)...finally giving in to a nap. Whew! Mommy's arms fell asleep and shoulders burned holding me but she said she didn't want to risk waking me up to move me.

Once we got to Florida, we rented a car and went to pick up groceries and other supplies before checking into the time share. Our suite had a full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, washer and dryer and balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and 3 pools.

Note from Mommy: Most of the information below is to chronicle our beach front adventures, but feel free to read if you like!

On Saturday, June 4, we were all pretty tired, so we just hung out at home. We walked out to the beach and dipped our piggy toes in the ocean. It was beautiful!

Sunday (June 5) we got up and went swimming in the pool. It was so much fun! I hadn't been in the pool since swimming lessons last Fall. Then we got cleaned up and went to Boca Raton, FL (a town just north of us). We took a beautiful drive up AIA...ocean view to our right and the intercoastal waterway to our left with MANSIONS all over! Wowza! In Boca, we did some shopping and sightseeing. We also found a gourmet cupcake shop. We picked up 4 mini ones to share! Yummo!

On Monday, Grandma and Mommy did water aerobics while Grandpa, Daddy and I went swimming. Then we attended the Time Share welcome session, and went to Las Olas for sightseeing and shopping.

On Tuesday we started the day off swimming (Mommy said it was cooler and safer for my baby skin as there were more clouds in the sky during the morning). Grandma had won an in-room spa package and let Mommy in on it too. After a good nap, we went to Del Ray Beach for lunch and shopping. That night, I got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went out for dinner a fondue restaurant, The Melting Pot.

On Wednesday, there was water aerobics, more swimming and Mommy, Daddy and I spent time in the suite relaxing. Later in the afternoon, we went to an awesome Wild animal show at the resort!! I got to touch a scorpion, bullfrog, snake, anteater, cockatoo, and crocodile. I was a brave, brave boy!

On Thursday, we again went swimming in the morning. Then in the afternoon, we went to Hollywood, FL for more sightseeing and shopping. We got to grill our own supper at the resort to.

Friday, Mommy and I hung out in the pool while the others ran some errands. We had lots of fun in the pool with some other kids. When Grandma, Grandpa and Daddy got back, we had lunch and spent more time in the pool.

The week went super fast and we were already packing up to leave. I had much better flights home. In fact, one guy behind us on the flight to Des Moines told us when we landed that he didn't even know a baby was on the flight. A great compliment for mom!

That is my latest adventure! Mommy promises we will try to do a better job of keeping up the blog!

Until next time...

Love you!

I am finally on my way...

Happy Summer Everyone!

We have been busy since our last update! The Spring semester has wrapped up and we are looking forward to the summer when Mommy and Daddy's work slows down a little bit.

EASTER
We went to ND for Easter. I was so excited to see Mama, Papa, Auntie Jen, Uncle Jeffrey, Kylie, Keira and my great-grandparents! We had a wonderful time! Can't wait to see everyone in July!

Storybook
In late April, I went to the Step into Storybook event that mommy's volunteer organization was hosting. Daddy said I was a little 'too little' to really enjoy all the event had to offer, but we had fun! There were tons of stations with things to play with. I loved crawling through the tunnel, playing the drums, crawling into the playhouse and getting my new kitty checked out by the doctors. It was lots of fun!

15 Month Check up: I had my 15 month check up in April. Dr. Patten was impressed with all my teeth, especially my 4 big, beautiful molars.

Here are my stats:
Birth - 8 lbs 1/2 oz & 20 1/2 inches long
2 months- 12 lbs & 23 inches long
4 months - 16 lbs 6oz & 25 inches long
6 months - 19 lbs 3 oz. & 27 inches long
9 months - 22 lbs & 28 inches long
12 months - 24 lbs 8 oz & 30.5 inches long
15 months - 26 lbs 6 oz. & 32 inches long*
*Still in the 75th percentile for both height and weight.

Mother's Day: We spent Mother's Day 2011 at the Amana Colony area in Eastern Iowa. We met Grandpa Kevin and Grandma Karen and Great-Grandma Maxine for lunch and to walk around the shops. It was fun, but exhausting.

In mid-May, I finally discovered that I could save my knees some hardships and WALK! I am not fully walking everywhere but I am standing up on my own and walking across the room (only when I want to though)!

In other news: Mommy is wrapping up her course work (only has 1 more class to take this fall). Since May and over the summer, she has been focused on writting her dissertation (which she tell's me is a big word for a very long research paper = 150 pages). Mommy is a little nervous about having enough time for playtime and snuggling with me this summer as she taking 2 classes. I am pretty sure she will make all the time I want. =_)

Look for my next update soon with some exciting photos of my latest adventure!

Love you!
