Lots of visitors last weekend...quiet this weekend!!!

Sorry for the delayed post...Mommy had a busy week and couldn't type up my thoughts until now.  Daddy is still sick and I woke up sick again too.  I am feeling better!  Luckily Mommy has stayed healthy the last couple of weeks so she could take care of me and Daddy.

We had another busy, but really fun weekend last weekend!

Friday night we celebrated Mommy and Daddy’s 5 year anniversary with Auntie Tanya, Uncle Chris and cousin Kinnick who brought dinner from our favorite Italian place in Cedar Rapids.  Saturday Mommy and I got to snuggle and play all day in between my naps.

On Sunday, we celebrated Daddy’s 1st Father’s Day.  We gave him some presents and Mommy made him breakfast.  In the afternoon, we had friends up for a bbq.  The Chatriand Family (Craig, Koryn, Anna, Mariah and Sarah) as well as Clint came over.  Then, my cousins, Kylie and Keira, Auntie Jen and Uncle Mike arrived from North Carolina.  They had been driving for 2 long days, so Kylie and Keira were very excited to be out of the car and running around.

Everyone, except me cuz I don't have any teeth, enjoyed some BBQ and great conversation.  The girls (Kylie, Anna and Mariah) ate outside on the deck and then went to play at the park.  Mommy said the Chatriands are moving to Idaho soon.  She said she will miss them terribly, but are excited for their new adventure.

Sunday night, all the kiddos, Kylie, Keira and I, had baths and went to bed.  We were all exhausted.  Although I am not sure who was asleep first...the kids or the parents.  Everyone was tired.  Monday morning, the Belters took off to drive up to North Dakota.  I wasn’t sad because we will see them again soon for 2 whole weeks.  I can’t wait to spend 2 whole weeks with Mama and Papa and the girls in ND.

I had a good week at daycare.  Miss Jo painted my piggie-toes and my patties and we painted pictures.  I had lots of fun...the paint brush tickled my toes and my hands!

This weekend has been fairly quiet.  Our friends, Ben and Tigon, came up for a visit on Saturday and they even took good care of me while Mommy worked on her paper for her summer class.  Then we went out to dinner at a new pizza place in town.    We had another yucky night of storms that were so bad, I woke up scared by the thunder!  Daddy got me calmed down though and I slept until 7:30am.   We had a nice quiet Sunday while Mommy worked on her paper some more and Daddy started packing for our trips over the next couple of weeks.

That is all for now.

Happy Anniversary, Mommy and Daddy!

Daddy told me that it is their ann-i-ver-sary today. That is a tough word to say!

Daddy said he was so lucky to marry Mommy 5 years ago today in Fargo. He said lots and lots of family and friends were there to watch and celebrate at a party afterwards.

Mommy said I wasn't at the party, but the hopes of meeting me someday were there! Mommy said this is the best anniversary yet because of me!

We are celebrating this special day with Auntie Tanya, Uncle Chris and Cousin Kinnick who are bringing Mommy and Daddy's favorite italian dinner from Cedar Rapids.

Happy Anniversary, Mommy and Daddy! I love you very, very much!

Here are some pictures from their wedding! Looks like fun!

Busy weekend...no wonder I got sick!

Sorry for the delay...Two weekends ago, we had a busy week and weekend.  Daddy was gone every night last week to umpire little league games, play softball and help with YPA.  Then, on Saturday, Daddy and I drove to Des Moines to go to the baby store and the bbq store, while Mommy had to work.  I did pretty well (better than daddy, I think).

Then, we all got into the car (Emma too) and went to see my family in Center Point.  I, of course, was an angel and slept the whole way there.  So, I was ready to get out of my car seat and play.  I got to see Grandma and Grandpa Kramer and Auntie Tanya.  I also got to see our good friends Tom, Beth, Sydney and Caleb for a bbq at their house.  Sydney and Caleb were showing me things and Sydney even helped put me to sleep.  So much fun!

Sadly for Daddy, he woke up on Sunday and had to go to the doctor...strep throat, yuk! So I stayed with Grandpa while Auntie Tanya, Grandma and Mommy hosted a bridal shower for my cousin.  Mommy said it went very well and everyone had fun!

Once we got home on Sunday night, Daddy was feeling worse so he went to bed.  Mommy and I got lots of snuggle time!  But on Tuesday, I woke up at 1:30 am not feeling good either.  Mommy said my cough sounded like a baby seal again...uh, oh!  A call to the doctor meant I had to go for a visit and get some medicine.  I did get to stay home with Mommy though, cause Daddy was still too sick to take care of me too.

By Wednesday morning, no seal cough!  In fact, Mommy said she thought I was pretending to sound that way so I could get an extra day with her at home...maybe, but she will never know.  We did do some serious snuggling and play time as the medicine kicked in.

The rest of the week was been quiet...Daddy started feeling better too!  And, Mommy hasn't gotten sick, yeah!

This past weekend was pretty quiet...we had lots of time for playing and snuggling.  Daddy and Mommy did lots of cleaning for this coming weekend we have lots of visitors.  Friday and Saturday, my cousin, Kinnick and his mommy and daddy, are coming for a visit.  Then, my cousins, Kylie and Keira, are coming (with Auntie Jen and Uncle Mike) for a visit on their way to ND.  We are hosting a Father's Day bbq for them and friends of ours who are moving to Idaho soon.

That's all for now!  Will write more soon!

Rice cereal here I come...

Boy oh boy, did we have a fun 3-day weekend! On Saturday, Mommy and I got to sleep in while Daddy went to umpire a little league baseball game. Then, I hung out with Daddy while Mommy ran errands in town and to work on some research for her summer class project. Unfortunately, Mommy forgot her key to her office so she had to come home instead of doing research...really, I took her key from her purse so she would have to come home to me sooner...hee, hee, hee!!

Then, Saturday night we all attended our first block party in Gilbert just down the street. We listened to a fun band and visited with all my neighbors...who are always so happy to see me!

Linda, my good friend (and Mommy & Daddy's too), came with us too. I like Linda! She doesn't mind if I cry or get cranky. In fact, she thinks I am cute no matter what I am doing!

So, we partied until after 10pm...wow, that was late for me! Good thing I got to sleep in the next morning. Once again, Mommy and I slept in while Daddy went to Des Moines to judge a BBQ competition. Daddy had a great time judging but was even more excited that our friends, Ryan, Sonya and baby, won Grand Champion at the competition. They got a huge trophy! Congrats Ryan and Sonya!

After my visit to the doctor this week, I get to start on rice cereal. Mommy and Daddy did their best to make it seem yummy, but it didn't taste all that good. I much prefer my bottle. But, to appease them, I ate a few bites of rice cereal on Sunday and a few more on Monday! When do I get to the good stuff...like bananas, sweet potatoes, and apple sauce? Hmmm....

Here are some more pictures of my great weekend:

"I am not sure about this rice cereal stuff!"

"I really like the spoon though!"
Day 2 of rice cereal:  "Still not sure, but I will keep trying."

"If I keep trying this cereal stuff and make a big enough mess, I get to have bathtime fun every night...I sure do love my baths...especially when my little frog legs splash and get Daddy and Mommy all wet...hee, hee, hee!!"
